End of Life Support

Provide comfort during the final days or weeks. The support of  regular Reiki sessions can alleviate pain and stress, and pet-sitting  and respite can be arranged as needed. 

The doula offers emotional support  to both the pet and the pet's  family, helping them navigate the complex  emotions that arise during  this time. They provide a compassionate  presence that can help ease the  stress and grief of the situation.

They educate the family on what  to expect during the dying  process, discuss end-of-life options, and  help in making informed  decisions regarding euthanasia, natural death,  and other care choices.

Assist in planning and sometimes facilitating a meaningful goodbye or memorial service that honors the pet's life.

Provide support and resources to  help families cope with grief  after the pet's death, which may include  counseling referrals or  support groups, as well as Reiki.

They might also help with practical details such as arranging for cremation or burial services and handling related paperwork.
